SSC-Khaatumo Finance Leaders Participate in Phase II of the PFM Conference – Focus on IPSAS Reporting Standards

The Director General of the Ministry of Finance – SSC-Khaatumo, Mr. Siciid Abdirahman Mohamed, and the Chief Accountant of the SSC-Khaatumo Administration, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hussein, officially participated in the second phase of the Public Financial Management (PFM) Conference, held in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State. This phase of the conference, taking place on November 19–20, focused on the preparation of financial reports by the IPSAS Cash Basis—the International Public Sector Accounting Standards. Discussions emphasized the harmonization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting procedures to align with global standards for public financial management. The IPSAS training plays a vital role in enhancing transparency, accuracy, and accountability in financial reporting. It is also expected to boost public confidence in government fiscal management practices. SSC-Khaatumo officials actively contributed to the sessions, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation and integration of financial systems across the Federal and Member State levels.
