On 18th August 2025, the Ministry of Finance – North East successfully convened a Citizen Budget Consultation at Rayaan Hall. The session was attended by the Ministry’s directors and a wide range of community representatives — including elders, youth, women, professionals, and business leaders.
The event featured a presentation of the 2025 Budget in a citizen-friendly format, showcasing key achievements, ongoing projects, and lessons learned. Following this, participants engaged in open and constructive dialogue on 2026 budget priorities, offering valuable insights into where resources should be focused to better serve the community.
This consultation reflects the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive governance, transparency, and accountability. By providing a platform for direct engagement between citizens and government, the Ministry ensures that the 2026 Budget will be more responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people.
