The Minister of Finance of the SSC-Khaatumo Administration, Hon. Abdiqani Hussein Hirad, today formally presented the 2025 Budget Proposal to the SSC-Khaatumo Parliament during a special parliamentary session. The proposed budget—read aloud before Parliament—consolidates all recurrent and capital expenditures of the administration, with a focus on ensuring transparency, fiscal discipline, and the efficient management of public funds. The session was presided over by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, who is also the Acting Speaker, Hon. Muhiyadiin Mohamed Jama. In his closing remarks, the Deputy Speaker announced that the 2025 Budget Proposal would be referred to the Parliamentary Finance Committee for further review and deliberation, by the House’s internal procedures. He also extended his appreciation to the Finance Minister and all Members of Parliament who attended the session.
