Land Tax Officially Launched in Cayn Region – SSC-Khaatumo Administration

The Leader of the SSC-Khaatumo Administration, Hon. Cabdiqaadir Ahmed Aw-Cali, officially launched Land Taxation in Cayn Region, with the event taking place in its capital, Buuhoodle. This follows the earlier launch in Laascaanood, the capital of Sool Region and the administrative capital of SSC-Khaatumo. Officials from the Ministry of Finance presented a detailed overview of the progress and future vision of land taxation in the region, emphasizing efforts toward full implementation, particularly in the Cayn Region. Community representatives who spoke at the event expressed their readiness and support for complying with government tax obligations, reaffirming their commitment to participate in the administration’s development goals. Today’s launch signifies the official commencement of land tax collection in Cayn Region, marking a key milestone in expanding the administration’s fiscal framework. In his closing remarks, the Leader of SSC-Khaatumo commended the Ministry of Finance for its extensive work in improving revenue systems and service delivery across the territory. He stressed that fiscal decentralization, such as the rollout of land taxation, was one of the core objectives of the leadership’s working visit to the region. He further instructed all government institutions under SSC-Khaatumo to actively implement their duties across all districts and ensure inclusive governance throughout the region.
