The Ministry of Finance of SSC-Khatumo held an official ceremony in Laascaanood—the capital of the administration—to inaugurate the implementation of land taxation across the region. The event was attended by key leadership of the Ministry of Finance, including the Secretary of the Ministry, as well as Secretaries from the Ministries of Interior and Education. Guests included business owners, women’s groups, religious scholars, and various segments of society. The initiative was warmly welcomed as a step forward in increasing the region’s revenue base, critical for strengthening governance, including areas such as security, reconstruction, and social development.
